The green roof was always a certainty, even when the house still living in the dream plane! In addition to the aesthetic (because having plants in the house ceiling is too prettiness!), We still have the advantage of thermal insulation, rainwater retention that causes floods and a huge bed to plant ornamental or short root herbs, for example.

The structure used is almost the same as a conventional roof, with few specific techniques and differences. In our case, are rafters and planking, then a layer to cushion and separate the plastic (we use old clothes and cardboard), a special canvas and thick topsoil and plants. Ready!

Overall, the green roof becomes an "living part" of the house. We can come up with the kids to see the sunset, watch the stars, see the full moon rise behind the dam (ah, how much I love!).

(The pictures here are illustrative images taken from our reference books, the roof of the house is not ready yet!)
